About Me
My name is Janelle Van Ruiten, I am based in Florida where I am a full time shark diver and photographer for Florida Shark Diving. Since as long as I can remember I have been infatuated by the sea and it's inhabitants. This passion has guided my every step in life, and I have dedicated my life to sharing my passion to others through photography and guided trips to some of my favorite destinations. Where ever we meet in the sea I hope to be a steward of the ocean, and connect with like minded people. My life underwater has truly been a gift and Im so excited to share it with you!

Why Van Ruiten Blue?
I have always been very proud of my heritage, and my last name. Its something I have always carried with pride. When my grandparents immigrated to the United States from Holland to follow their dreams, they left a lot of their culture behind. However, Van Ruiten to me has always been a reminder of where my roots are, and the reminder to follow my dreams. Although my grandparents saw the dream in the green vineyards of wine making, I have followed my childhood dreams of the blue ocean world.
